3.    Find a non-standard expression and write its standard equivalence.
4.    Choose a sentence whose VP contains lexical and auxiliary verbs. Analyse the VP.
5.    Choose a sentence, and mention the type of its lexical verb.
6.    Choose a sentence containing a ‘complete’ NP (containing pre- and post-modification). Analyse the NP.
Answer:
1.    What a noble heart that good man has! (Exclamative)
     That good man has a noble heart. (Declarative)

2.   Kelingking was an obedient kid. (Declarative)
     How an obidient kid Klingking was! (Exclamative)

3.   I didn't wanna do the tour. (Non – standard expression)
     I didn't want to do the tour. (Standard expression)

4.   He thought the tour might be preceived as a cash grab.
     Might (Modal Auxiliary) be (Verb Aux. Passive) preceived (Verb PP ART)
                                             
5.   Hans told him what had happened.
     Told (ditransitive verb) takes two objects. They are him and what happened.

6.   Those upstairs waited for the drink, but Clever Elsie still in her strange act.
       Clever (pre-modification) Elsie (head) in her strange act (post-modification)
